ADULT MINISTRY

SUNDAY MORNING AND EVENING WORSHIP
The focus of Temple’s worship is in the Word of God as it is read, heard, preached and sung. Sunday morning worship service is held at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary at 1801 Market Street. An informal worship service is held at 6:00 pm on Sunday evenings at our Christian Activity Center.
Communion is served quarterly on the first Sunday and at other special times throughout the church year.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School provides an opportunity for in-depth Bible study and group ministries. Small group fellowship and learning encourages spiritual growth as Sunday School plays an integral part in the worship of the whole church family. Sunday School is held from 9:45 am until 10:45 am each Sunday morning at 1801 Market Street.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY
The Wednesday night service, generally held in the Fellowship Hall at 1801 Market Street, is an informal time of prayer, Bible study and sharing. During the school year, a family supper is served at 6:00p.m., and the service starts at 6:30p.m. while children are having their mission and music activities. During the summer months when there are no regularly scheduled children’s events, the service is held in the 18th Street chapel or at the Christian Activity Center.
SINGLES MINISTRY
The Singles Ministry provides an opportunity for single adults to address the challenges of their lives through the study of scripture. The ministry also emphasizes Christian service through regular outreach projects in cooperation with local humanitarian organizations.
CLASSIC ADULTS
The Classic Adult group, open to anyone 55 years and over, is a very active part of the life at Temple. This group, led by the Senior Adult Ministry Team, enjoys many interesting, fun trips and fellowship activities each year.
BIBLE STUDIES
Bible studies are held at the Christian Activity Center and are led by various lay people. This is an opportunity for in-depth study of books of the Bible and other Biblical truths.
There are many areas of service & places in the life of TBC where adults can study, serve, and fellowship. Many of these are listed in different places on this Website.
