CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH MINISTRY
Birth – Grade 5
Temple’s Children’s Ministry welcomes children into the warmth of God’s love by providing infant care, creative Sunday School activities, choir and mission groups as well as seasonal events for families and the entire congregation.
YOUTH MINISTRY
Grades 6-12
The Youth Ministry offers countless opportunities for worship, service, discipleship, evangelism, and fellowship. Activities that are planned specifically for the youth to enrich their Christian focus include mission trips, camps, conferences, concerts, and participation in community projects.
It is Temple’s desire to lead this age group to Jesus, help them grow in their faith, and teach them to minister for Christ.
YOUTH MINISTRY - WHEN AND WHERE IT HAPPENS!!!
Sunday School 9:45 – 10:45 am each Sunday.
The Youth Sunday School program uses an active style of learning in order to serve the many different learning styles of this age group. Youth teachers focus on meeting the needs of each student in their classes and structuring the various activities so they are appropriate for the various age groups. Monthly the youth are taken to Cypress Point Rehabilitation Center to help provide Sunday School for the residents.
Sunday Night Bible Study 6PM Christian Activity Center
The Youth Sunday Night Bible Study includes lessons on current issues and concerns that teenagers face in today’s society.
Wednesday Evening Fellowship
Wednesday evening provides a time for young people to enjoy the church-wide supper and then to gather together for worship as they enjoy fellowship and use their music to serve the Lord. Once a month the youth also prepare the Wednesday night supper for the congregation.
Temple is excited to welcome Jamie Cooper to the staff as the new Minister of Youth and Children.
